Gumbalimba Park opened in 2003 and has grown into Roatan’s premier eco-adventure destination. Located in the West Bay area — just 18 minutes from the Port of Roatan and 30 minutes from Mahogany Bay Cruise Center — the park sits directly on the beach, giving guests access to both lush jungle trails and Caribbean shoreline in one visit.The park blends education and adventure.

You’ll walk through a dense tropical jungle with over 200 plant and tree species, cross a suspension bridge, explore an insectarium housing nearly 2,500 preserved insects from around the world, and step into the legendary Coxen’s Pirate Cave complete with life-size pirates, treasure maps, and weapons.
