Manawakie Eco Nature Park

The Manawakie Eco Nature Park in Roatan, Honduras in not your typical animal park. Apart from interaction with Capuchin Monkeys, Sloths, and other exotic animals… you will learn about the island’s first inhabitants, culture, and life today.

Located in the rainforest canopy, you will take a stroll through the botanical garden where your guide will point out several herbal plants used for medicine. You will also enjoy panoramic views of the Man ‘O War Bay and reef from this location.

Thereafter, You will enjoy a brief history lesson of Roatan Island at the Wildcane House Museum. Here you will learn about the various building materials used throughout the centuries, like bamboo and mud. The replica statues and artifacts on display of the Mayan Civilization is most interesting, with a brief orientation of their belief system by your tour guide.
