About Mayan Eden Eco Park Tour

The Mayan Eden Eco Park Tour is located on top of the dense jungle foothills of Coxen Hole, the capital of Roatan. Mayan Eden offers several tours with an educational approach by the grounds keeper, a great experience for all ages.

Mayan Eden Eco Park is a short distance from your port of call. Upon arriving, you will notice the lush flora and beautiful dense jungle canopy around you. This one of a kind Eco Park, is the only butterfly and hummingbird sanctuary in the world! The grounds keeper, a butterfly & hummingbird expert, will give you a short educational lecture and answer any questions you may have.

Furthermore, you will have a chance to learn about the ancient Mayan civilization and its impact on Honduras and Central America. The Mayan replica artifacts have a meaning and belief system behind them. The guide will explain these beliefs and meanings during the hiking trail tour. The trail takes you through the jungle rainforest and a suspension bridge surrounded by breathtaking views of the Caribbean Sea.

For many island guests, the interaction with the friendly White Face Capuchin Monkeys and sloths is a must. Playful and always ready for a snack, they will amaze you as they sit on your shoulder wanting your attention. You will have the opportunity to see the Spider Monkeys, Night Monkeys, and the colorful Toucans and Macaws . Did you know? Toucans eat other birds, even Macaws!

The Mayan Eden Eco Park Tour consists of everything available at this tour attraction with the exception of the Mayan Eden Canopy Zipline. This upgrade can be purchased during booking process. The zip-lining will take about 45-60 minutes to complete in additional to the Mayan Eden Eco Park Tour.
