Isla Tropicale Cruise Ship Port

The Carnival-operated cruise center in Dixon Cove, Roatán — formerly Mahogany Bay — now reimagined with a sparkling new lagoon pool, swim-up bar, and beach. Here’s everything you need to make the most of your port day.

Formerly Mahogany Bay

Welcome to Isla Tropicale

Isla Tropicale (known for years as Mahogany Bay) sits in Dixon Cove on Roatán’s southwestern shore. The 20-acre cruise port can dock two ships at once and welcome up to 8,000 guests a day, about three miles from the Town Center at Port of Roatán.

Carnival Cruise Line built the \$80-million center, and it remains the home port of call for Carnival and its sister lines — Princess, Holland America, Costa, and P&O. In 2025–2026 the resort was refreshed and rebranded as Isla Tropicale, adding an expansive free-form pool, a swim-up bar, and upgraded beach amenities.
